Since some of the inner walls were no longer existing when we bought the house, the carpenters are making them out of old oak beams.  This wall that you see here with the little green shutter was actually a complete wall from the old barn that used to stand on the spot where our house is being raised.  When the barn was torn down, this wall still remained to support our carport (also antique).  Kyra, seeing the little green shutter for the first time exclaimed excitedly "look, Koll (one of the carpenters) already made us a window for our new Meisenbach house!"
