We had a tight schedule to reach our goal of  having the upper floor finished by December 20th but we did it!!!  The week before, determined to complete our plan, we worked until 2am in the morning.  We bought our Christmas tree on December 21st and the Christmas holidays finally began for us!

 The south two rooms were finished around the beginning of December.  We were sick and tired of living downstairs in "the mire" and so we moved our three beds back upstairs, carried our kitchen bench in and set up the TV.  This is the point where life began.  For the first time since we moved in, we had a "real" wooden floor.  Before, it had been covered with paper and plastic sheets to protect it from our mud battle.
